I am proud and you can be proud of the following information. Liberty provides supportive housing for approximately 120 individuals at any time. In the months of June, July, and August, 7 people left one of those housing situations. Of the 7, 6 moved on to other housing in the community and only 1 left the housing with an unknown destination. That is quite an astounding statistic since many of our clients have faced major challenges in maintaining housing over their lives. Liberty is truly fulfilling its mission of ending homelessness.

Mamie Smith Visits Women's Program August 31

Mamie Smith will be visiting Liberty to speak with the Women's Program, Friday, August 31, 2012! Mamie Smith is the AIDS Prevention Outreach Worker with the City of New Haven Department of Health.  She regularly outreaches to people in the community to teach methods of prevention and risk reduction.  She comes to Liberty Community Services several times a year to hold classes and groups on how to prevent and reduce the risk of the spread of HIV/AIDS.
